Configuring external editors

Options for configuring external editors can be found on the Editors tab in the Options dialog.

Using the default external image editor

To use the default registered application for editing images:

• In the Editors group, select the Use associated program option

Using a custom external image editor

To use a custom application for editing images:

1. In the Editors group, select the Use custom editor option
2. Enter or select a executable program filename into the command line field, adding any replacement tokens as required. You can also use %1 as a shortcut to represent the fully qualified path of image to be edited.

If you only provide a program name without any arguments, Gif Animator will automatically include the fully qualified path of the image to be edited when invoking the editor.
