Options for configuring the frame reel can be found on the Display tab in the Options dialog.
Setting the highlight of the current frame
To set the color used to highlight the current frame in the animation reel:
- In the Frame Reel group, click the color button for the Current Selection field and choose a color
Setting the highlight of the selected frames
To set the color used to highlight the selected frames (excluding the current frame) in the animation reel:
- In the Frame Reel group, click the color button for the Selected Frames field and choose a color
Displaying frame labels
Each frame can display the frame number and the frame duration. To toggle this option:
- In the Frame Reel group, check the Display frame labels option to show the labels, or uncheck it to hide them
Scaling thumbnails
By default, each preview in the frame reel is scaled to the size of the parent animation. However, you can set it so that the previews are scaled to the frame. To toggle this option:
- In the Frame Reel group, check the Scale thumbnails to animation option to have thumbnails scaled to the animation, or uncheck the option to have them scaled to the individual frame
Displaying processed frames
By default, each preview in the frame reel shows the original frame image. Alternatively, you could display the final frame as it would appear in the saved animation. To toggle this option:
- In the Frame Reel group, check the Show processed framesoption to show the final frame, or uncheck the option to show the original image
Displaying status indicators
You can optionally display icons next to each preview in the frame reel highlighting the properties of that frame, for example if transparency is enabled, the type of palette in use, and if the frame uses a custom position. To toggle this option:
- In the Frame Reel group, check the Show status indicatorsoption to show status icons, or uncheck it to hide them
