The default tools that Spriter supports are:
| Tool | Description | Homepage |
|---|---|---|
| jpegtran | JPEG lossless transformation features | https://www.jpegclub.org/jpegtran/ |
| OptiPng | optiPNG is a PNG optimizer that recompresses image files to a smaller size, without losing any information | https://optipng.sourceforge.net/ |
| pingo | pingo is an experimental lossless and lossy image optimizer (PNG, JPEG, WebP, APNG) designed to be used for web context | https://www.css-ig.net/pingo |
Choose an appropriate tool for the image format you generate with Spriter. For example, if you are exporting .png files, either OptiPng or pingo would be an appropriate choice.
Download the tool from the home page, and if applicable extract the tool's executable from the downloaded archive.
Copy the tool's executable to a location in your system's path.
Spriter can use any other tool that supports a non-interactive command line interface. Create a new optimisation profile and modify the definition to call the alternative tool with the correct set of arguments.
