The Differences panel displays any URLs which were detected during a previous crawl, but were not found during the last scan. As well as shown these missing documents, it also shows new or changed documents detected during the last crawl.
Tip
You can filter the contents of a list by entering search text into the field below the appropriate column header. Clicking the filter button to the right of the edit field provides access to basic options to control the filter.
Opening a remote URL
To open the selected URL in the default browser
- Right click an item in the list and choose Open in browser
Opening a local file
To open a file in the default registered application
- Right click an item in the list and choose Open local file
Opening the containing folder
To open an Explorer window for the selected file
- Right click an item in the list and choose Open containing folder
Editing / previewing a local file
To open the selected file in an embedded text editor
- Right click an item in the list and choose Edit local file
Note
Images will be opened in the default registered application. All other files will be opened in an embedded text editor.
Creating a Rule
To create a new rule based on the selected URL
- Right click an item in the list and choose Add Rule
Viewing the incoming and outgoing links for a URL
To view the list of URLs linking either to or from a given URL
- Right click an item in the list and choose Incoming / Outgoing Links
Viewing the properties of a URL
To view the properties of an item
- Right click an item in the list and choose Properties
Copying the selection
To copy the selected rows to the Windows Clipboard
- Right one or more items in the list and choose Copy
Exporting to CSV
To export the contents of the list to a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file
- Right click the list and choose Export
- When prompted, enter or select the name of the file to save
- Click Save
