Setting the HTTP Buffer Size

The HTTP Buffer Size determines how much data WebCopy attempts read at once whilst downloading content.

To set the buffer size

  1. Open the Options dialogue box and select the Advanced category
  2. In the Buffer Group group, enter the number of kibibytes (KiB) that will be downloaded in a single chunk into the HTTP Buffer Size field

Setting the Memory Buffer Size

The Memory Buffer Size determines how much data WebCopy attempts to keep in memory before saving the data to a temporary file. This setting only applies to transient downloads, for example when analysing a website.

To set the buffer size

  1. Open the Options dialogue box and select the Advanced category
  2. In the Buffer Group group, enter the maximum number of kibibytes (KiB) that can be stored in memory for a transient download into the Memory Buffer Size field
