Settings for WebCopy are stored in the Windows Registry. You can use the Settings Manager to backup, restore or reset settings.

Opening the Settings Manager

An icon is not created for this tool, it needs to be ran manually

  • Open a File Explorer session to the WebCopy installation folder, e.g. C:\Program Files\Cyotek\WebCopy
  • Select the file name setmgr.exe and press Enter

Backing up settings

This button is disabled if no settings are present

To create a backup of existing settings

  • Click the Backup button
  • When prompted, enter the name and location of the file containing the backup and click OK

Restoring settings

To restore a previously created backup

  • Click the Restore button
  • When prompted, enter the name and location of the file containing the backup and click OK

Resetting settings

Note

This button is disabled if no settings are present

To delete all settings and revert to default values:

  • Click the Reset button
  • Click Yes to confirm

Tip

We recommend taking a backup of settings before performing a reset.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cyotek\WebCopy

Deleting this key will reset all settings to default.
